The TV Show that Makes Me Laugh Out Loud Every Time
Only Murders in the Building
The past few years have been tough for everyone. I honestly believe that no one has escaped it. And I also believe that laughter is the best medicine. Maybe that sounds trivial, but whenever I laugh out loud, I feel better. And the only show that has really, truly made me laugh out loud in the past couple of years is Only Murders in the Building. I love everything about this show. I love Steve Martin. I love Martin Short. I love the chemistry between them. And Selena Gomez is the most perfect straight woman to all of their ridiculous but charming humor.
As a side note, Selena Gomez has a cosmetic line, Rare Beauty, with a lip balm that is amazing for me. If you read the disclaimer below, you know I don’t get kickbacks for recommending anything. I also have a soy allergy that makes it very hard for me to use most cosmetics and/or beauty products. So when I find one that I like AND that doesn’t make me break out in hives, it’s a true find. But back to Only Murders in the Building: When the world falls apart before our eyes, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are the only combination of actors who have made me laugh out loud. Every single episode, I laugh out loud. I forget that the world is burning. I forget that things are so, so hard. Not many things can do that. No other shows over the past three years have done that for me.
So, if you want a good laugh, if you need to forget that things in the world are not so great, if you need to escape life for 30 minute blocks at a time, and you want to follow a great a story, I recommend this show with all of my laughing heart.
