Is 2023 the Year of Accepting Each Other?

When I entered our bedroom and saw this scene, I audibly gasped. Not only do Cyrus and Jordi rarely get this close to each other, but they also NEVER sleep next to each other. Could 2023 be the year of accepting each other? I mean, finally, truly accepting each other and maybe even snuggling?!

We could look at this as a metaphor for all of the political upheaval this country has faced over the past few years and absorb the lesson of this photo. Maybe we don’t have to get too close, but we can at least try to accept each other and share the same space.

But, alas, I don’t think it is to be for these two stubborn boys (but let's keep the political metaphor out of this next picture for now). At least they’re still sharing the same space : )

We all can still dream, and true brotherly acceptance is my dream for 2023.
