Failed Flower Arrangement?
I’ve always loved the color combination of purple with a creamy white. There’s something very crisp and spring-like about it, so when I saw these two flowers, I immediately bought them together. But, when I finally arranged them together, I realized the shapes don’t mesh well. Those poor hyacinth blooms look sad and squished. There’s no way around it—it’s a failed flower arrangement.
And while I know this is a post about a failed flower arrangement, I do feel like I need to explain the elephant, or the raccoon, in the room. The raccoon is a lamp I bought for my new backyard office shed (maybe a post coming about this later, but most of you have probably already seen photos). Since the office shed is in the backyard, I thought it was kind of funny to have a lamp of a raccoon stealing a lightbulb. As a functioning lamp, it’s just okay.
But back to the flowers . . . once the hyacinths bloomed a little more, I actually think this bouquet turned out okay. It forced everything to spread out and looks kind of like a waterfall of purple.
So, maybe a failure isn’t always as bad as we think, and even if it is, we can always . . .
Stay Curious.
