You Hurt My Feelings

When I first heard the title of this movie, You Hurt My Feelings, I thought it sounded just plain sad or not very entertaining, but then I found out that Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in it, and I knew it must have some sort of sense of humor. The good news: It is funny and heartfelt and, at times, a little sad but reaffirming in the end.

The bad news: There is none. I really enjoyed this film. I won’t explain the entire plot, but the premise is about Julia’s character, who is a writer, finding out that her husband doesn’t like her latest book. Fights and humor ensue. There are some particularly funny scenes with Amber Tamblyn and her real-life husband, David Cross. I’m not going to tell you because I want you to go see the movie!

If you want to laugh a little, or tear up a little, or just enjoy a delightful afternoon at the movies, check out You Hurt My Feelings (if it’s still in theaters,—I think it is), and as always . . .

Stay Curious.

A couple disclaimers: I am not a critic. I recommend what I like and talk about it. Also, I do not currently participate in any affiliate programs or get paid to recommend something on Featured Fridays. These are simply things that I enjoy and hope others will enjoy as well. Thanks for reading!
